Self-Efficacy in Managing Female Sexual Dysfunction in Interstitial Cystitis 

October 2025 

More than 80% of women with IC/BPS reported challenges with sexual function, highlighting how commonly these symptoms affect intimate relationships and quality of life. Women who felt more confident in managing symptoms during intimacy tended to report better sexual well-being, suggesting that education and self-management skills may be an important part of treatment.
