(AHRQ#6K12HS022990-05, IRB#170653) is a study geared toward creating psychosocial self-management interventions for bladder pain disorders with the assistance of the patient population. This study involves taking information gathered from focus groups and tailoring a patient-centered psychosocial intervention protocol, which will be piloted in patients with IC/BPS in the department of urologic surgery as a part of their treatment.
Study Update: We are pleased to say that the initial work has led to a 4-year grant from the National Institute of Health in this topic (NIDDK K23 DK118118-01A1, IRB#193461, NCT#04275297). The next phase of our project will focus on assessing the impact of patient-informed interventions on outcomes and assessing different patient presentations in Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome. We will begin actively recruiting for this study in June. If you are interested in participating, please reach out to email@example.com for more information
